In other news.. Today, Friday April 6th, Nina is 9 weeks old! Next Friday she has a vet checkup at 10 weeks old. (on Luke's birthday though "/) Last time (7weeks old) she weighed 1lb 2oz it will be interesting to see how much she has grown in 3 weeks.

Aside from a few serious pregnancy scares, Sunday, Easter Sunday, will make 21 weeks prego with 19 weeks to go! Excited about having a girl. (: By the end of this month we'll be 24 weeks & only 16 more to go! My main focus has been the crib with this baby, with Luke Carlos always kept saying we'd get one and we ended up not. Spent all my savings ($1,000) on his car he did. So that was the first thing on my list from the beginning. We're doing great! Our crib only cost $150! Our Mattress, Only $38! The Mattress pad, $15! Its amazing what quality things you can find for less when you REALLY look. :) The crib we had originally saved for was $300+ itself so its great to save money!!!! Budgeting is the way to go. I love browsing and comparing pricing before I claim my prize, muahahaha! I do enjoy saving up for more expensive things just so I can find way cheaper and better, to see just how much you really DON'T have to pay for stuff. :) Happy momma I am!! Last thing we are saving for is a 9-piece crib bedding set, probably the most expensive thing on our list but its the only one we both can agree on. Time to save $160ish. Other ones cost $300!! EW....... So we decided the price we agreed on isn't so bad. "/ Of course we are hoping that by the time we have the money to spend on it that the price will drop hehe! If only.. ^_^ So we'll see!! So even with that being said our total crib setup will only have costed us $150+$160+$38+$15. Totaling $363.. Seriously not bad at all. :)

As for Easter, I can't wait to talk Carlos into dying Easter eggs! It will be Luke's first time, I can only imagine the mess LOL!! & something tells me this will be Carlos's first time as well, so hoping my haunch is correct! How cute would that be for father and son to share a first time dying eggs, together!

As for Future Upcoming Events: Next weekend, Friday April 13th is of course Luke's 2nd Birthday!! Saturday April 14th we are planning on family/Pregnancy/Birthday pics about 10am, and a scheduled play-date at Just Kid'n Around, starting at 12:30pm but the great thing is you can stay as long as you like there!! We've never been there before so should be fun and exciting for honoring Luke's 2nd birthday! Cheers to new adventures!! New Beginnings!! :) We want to celebrate his birthday this year being as it will be the last year he will be our only child. So let's make it a good one for him!!!

Looking Forward To Some Gender!

Today is one of those days when you just have too much on your mind that you can't think strait. I swear I've spent two hours staring at the computer screen watching the time go by. Type and delete, repeat.

This past week we have been announcing our long kept secret. Some we were relieved to tell, others we wished we hadn't. What's wrong with just randomly bringing a child over and then telling them then? HA! Better than them saying "don't circumcise this one if its a boy," or, "more dogs & now more babies?" Whatever happened to a simple congratulations haha. Next baby we already plan on not telling. Yeah, we plan on waiting until after our future babies are born to say, "By the way.." But anyway..

Today I am anxious, nervous, excited, restless; list could go on and on! Today at 4:15pm I have an ultrasound and am dying to see some gender!

What if its a girl?
What if its a boy?

What is better than guessing? Knowing!!

The majority vote is that its a girl.
Only two have guessed its a boy.
My son however has guessed that it is a ball. No, that is not him trying to say boy, ha, he really means ball.

Although we know for sure that it is not going to be a ball, unless he means it will have balls, just kidding, that doesn't exactly narrow down our suspicions. I would absolutely hate for the minority to be right.

What does Carlos want? He wants a girl.
What do I want? I want a girl.
Although Luke tends to say sis around the house, he hopes for a ball.

I'm nervous. If its a boy, I honestly might cry. Just saying it being honest.. My excuse is I am pregnant haha! Don't get me wrong though, it doesn't mean I would want or love it any less!!

The important thing is that whatever it is, its a perfectly healthy baby and that Luke has a sibling and not a ball haha. As long as we go in there today and come out knowing without a doubt what this baby is, I'll be happy! Stay tuned for ultrasound pictures!! & possibly our gender announcement!!

Inevitable

Where do I begin?

The past seems like the perfect place to start, right? Well let's see here..

In 2007, I met someone. It never made any sense but it all worked out! I was given a phone number, one I was decisive on ignoring. It took, give or take, two weeks for me to change my mind. It was a slow afternoon, you could say it was out of boredom, & a stir of curiosity. I browsed through my contacts when I was looking for someone to text with. It was then I saw his name; Carlos. It took me a while to even figure out what that name was doing being listed in my contacts. "Oh ya," I had put it there.

My friend had told me there was a guy who was interested in me, who thought I was cute. I had no idea for the life of me who that person was. I stared at my phone for around fifteen or so minutes before beginning and ending my first text to him; "Thought I would say hi... Hi."

I honestly don't have a clue what I was thinking, I only texted him because I figured he had already known who I was, already had my number if I had his.. Or so I thought. The response text was, "Who is this?"

I felt incredibly stupid after reading that. One of those "DUH!!" moments. I had dug a hole it had seemed. So I replied, "Emily."

The second after he had got that text my phone rang. My heart was pounding, "Oh crap! Do I answer it?"

I did in fact decide on answering the phone. I was basically on auto pilot, my very being insisted on not but my body would not listen. I listened as he spoke to me the second after I said, "Hello?"

"Do you want to hang out?" Was the very first sentence that flowed from his mouth.

My body tensed, 'stranger danger' repeated in my mind. I was conflicted. Was I really going to let this guy so easily creep me out??

I hung up with him to call my friend. She had told me, "Oh don't worry so much, everything will be fine. I will go with you."

So I call him back and say, "Sure, works for me." Along with THE worst directions to my house I could possibly think of. If he can't find my house then maybe he will give up and go home?

I didn't get ready to go anywhere, in my mind I wasn't going anywhere. I waited around the phone for my friend to say she was on her way or already at my house but when she did call back she told me she had gotten called into work, that she couldn't go, and that I needed to call the whole thing off.

So we hang up, and I am ready to call him to tell him that I can't. The setback was he was calling me. I answer nervously, "I am at your house," he says.

There was a knock at my door and I panicked. I ran to answer it before anyone else could. I answered the door and took one look at the man standing at my door, and I slammed that door shut on his face before he could come inside. I turned around to ignore the door, perhaps he would just go away. I had not expected a handsome man at my door, the sources where the number came from were nowhere near attractive to me, not one bit, so how is it they could send the complete opposite to pursue me? It was confusing. As I turned away from the door though, my mom came around the corner after having seen my reaction, and nothing but questions came out of her mouth.

Annoyed from either end, whether I was inside the house, or from outside the house I made my decision to leave the house. I told my mom it was a friend, and I opened the door and walked out to the man waiting for me outside my front door.

Surprisingly, he walked me to the door of his truck and helped me in. That was a great impression. One point for him. Well he got into the car and the very first thing he did was hand me his family photo album and yearbooks.. Awkward!! Points docked, ha.

It got even better, I eyed over the truck, looking around as a self-distraction from anything else I might have to face when I had discovered a bag of prescription medication, oh boy. "What are those?" I asked in a suspicious tone to make sure he answered clearly and honestly. Turns out he was in a car accident the very day before he met me.. So WHY was he with me instead of resting in bed like he should have been? He had a neck injury but he insisted on seeing me. No was not an answer for this guy. I had never felt like I had mattered to anybody, this made me laugh!

So he calls it a date. He takes me to Red Robin in Boise. We saw someone there we had both known. She went to school with him and I had worked at Boondocks, currently known as Wahooz for whatever reason. I am pretty sure she happened to be there at the right moment to ease my suspicion and discomfort with this guy. My friend kept texting me I would end up on the side of the road in a body bag, whatever that was suppose to mean. It was not very reassuring.

After Red Robin we went and sat outside of Costa Vida where she was working and we waited for her. While we waited he had already brought up the marriage card. 'WHAT!?' He sat there and told me about his parents and how his father had told him he could marry anyone but a mormon girl. Knock on wood, Lmbo! Yeah I was pretty sure this man sustained a brain injury.

Eventually my friend came out but couldn't get off work, she was mad so I decided to just leave. We drove back to my house, and sat just talking. I got out of the car and went inside. I was pretty certain this guy would not be getting back to me soon, which was fine by me.

The day, however, had other plans. As soon as he had gotten home, I received more texts and conversations led to him telling me he would treat me like a queen, insisting on winning me over. First dates mean nothing when it comes to love at first sight I suppose. All in a days work. Thus ended the day I first met my husband, LOL!
